Town factory participating in the SDGs

“Akasaka Mold Sculpture Center” is a metalwork that combines the skillful engraving technology that has been refined over a long time with the current IoT and the latest processing machines. This time, we asked about the SDGs initiatives that the Akasaka Mold Sculpture Center is a member of. ■ What are SDGs? The international goals from 2016 to 2030 described in the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015 are called “SDGs”. It was adopted as a successor to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) established in 2001. Mr. Akasaka (Representative)-The SDGs consist of 17 goals and 169 targets to realize a sustainable world. We do not do anything to join the SDGs, but think that what we are doing now applies to the SDGs. Of all 17 goals, we have the following 4 goals. 4: Quality education for everyone 7: Energy for everyone and cleanness 14: Protect the abundance of the ocean 17: Let's achieve our goals through partnerships I would like to talk about Currently, I give lectures twice a month at Osaka Institute of Technology. After all, there are not many teachers who have deep knowledge of machining, and there are not many teachers who can do machining. Under such circumstances, I am assisting in practical training as a coach of the “5-axis machine”. I'm sure you'll be glad to see the students interested in manufacturing through the lecture. Participating in the national processing contest, I feel the motivation of the students. My personal goal is “I want to create a manufacturing school”. In the future, I would like to see more students learn about the joy of manufacturing through this kind of education. If you continue these efforts, you will be looking forward to thinking about what will happen in the future. In addition to the university, I belong to the disabled person's section, and I visit children's homes and have classes on manufacturing using glue guns. I wouldn't be so happy if many people were interested in making things as I taught. -Thank you very much!
